One of four universities that make up the
Academy of Rennes, the University of Rennes
2 in Villejean, Upper Brittany, is a centre of
merit for education and research in the arts,
humanities and the human and social sciences.
As part of its drive for continued excellence
and its commitment to upholding the quality
of its facilities, the university’s audiovisual
support department (CRÉA) was given the task
of upgrading the main auditorium known as Le
Tambour, with the installation of the very latest
in digital technology. In meeting this brief,
the CRÉA turned to AMX and an Enova-driven
solution which is helping the university futureproof
its facilities and ease the transition from the
analogue to the digital world.
SOLUTION
The cultural heart of the university, Le Tambour
is a state-of-the-art 254-seater auditorium. As
well as being the centrepiece of the university’s
learning facilities, Le Tambour is also a venue of
choice for a wide range of external artistic and
musical events, as well as conferences. With
technological expectations high and the quality
of the audio-visual experience paramount, the
university decided to invest for the future by
replacing the existing analogue system with
the very latest in AMX presentation technology.
Sitting at the heart of the solution, AMX’s awardwinning
Enova DVX-3155HD brings Le Tambour
firmly into the digital age.
IMPACT
"Having been comprehensively
refurbished with the very latest in
AMX Enova DVX technology, this
impressive auditorium is now fully
equipped, intelligently controlled
and ready for anything the digitalage
has to throw at it!"
