The Ross GearLite DAC-9516 AES / EBU to analog audio converter is a broadcast quality product used to convert 20 or 24-bit AES-3id (coaxial) signals to analog audio. The DAC-9516 accepts one 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz unbalanced coaxial AES signal and provides two outputs of stereo (A, B) analog audio. The AES / EBU signal is auto-equalized, reclocked and then converted to analog audio using a state of the art 128X oversampled Delta Sigma Modulator. Two identical copies of the signal are output to an easy to wire detachable terminal strip. Output level adjustments provide a continuously adjustable full scale output level range of +12 dBu to +27 dBu, meeting all international level requirements. For example, in a system with a digital audio level standard of -20 dBFS, the DAC-9516 can provide a nominal analog output level adjustable between -2 and +10 dBu (+4 dBu being the most common analog level standard). Auto-detection Digital De-emphasis is available for all data rates. The DAC-9516 is supplied with a universal power adapter and line cord suitable for the country of use. Various mounting options are included that allow a wide range of installation choices.
