RTS Intercom Systems assigns dedicated Key Account Manager to US broadcast market
Posted on Wednesday, September 2, 2009

August 31, 2009 Minneapolis, MN In a move that reinforces the company’s longstanding commitment to the broadcast industry, RTS has announced that Regional Sales Manager Ken Smalley has been reassigned as Key Account Manager, Broadcast, a newly created position that will focus upon the needs of key customers across the entire US broadcast market.

“I am now positioned to enable a new level of cohesiveness with our broadcast partners,” Smalley explains, “providing a unique level of service that is not offered by other intercom manufacturers. The major networks have increasingly complex, expansive communication systems, so having a point person working with the major broadcaster will help maintain the synergy required for smooth production.”

RTS has always had a close relationship with broadcasters. Beginning with the brand’s inception over thirty years ago, RTS intercom systems have been developed largely to meet specific communication requirements of the broadcast industry, have become the communication standard among major broadcasters for the biggest productions in the world.

“We have hundreds of man-years of experience in broadcast communication,” Smalley adds. “No one else comes close to having that depth of knowledge, and no other manufacturer is as trusted in the industry. That’s why 95% of the broadcasters in the New York metro area use only RTS ADAM matrices.”

This level of hands-on experience translates into world-class systems and support, all custom-designed for the customer’s needs. “Ken Smalley’s new role as Key Accounts Manager means that broadcasters across the US will have the benefit of a single point of contact for their communications systems,” says Daniel Nix, Vice-President of Sales, Americas, for Bosch’s Communications Systems Division. “This move is part of a company-wide, forward-thinking sales and support strategy that can more fully capitalize upon RTS’ unmatched experience within the industry.”
