The UHBX-R-48 is a HDBaseT receiver that can power compatible HDBaseT sources over the same cable used to extend video and control signals. It is perfect for powering HD or UHD video conferencing cameras with PTZ control and eliminates the need for a power supply at the camera. The UHBX-R-48 s Extends HDMI video, RS-232, IR, and Power over one UTP (Cat6) cable. Full-HD (1080p) signals can be extended to 150meters, while Ultra-HD (4K) can be extended to 100 meters.
The receiver provides over 30watts of power to the transmitter at other side. Bi-directional RS-232 is provided for control, so if the source allows control via its HDBaseT port (such as compatible VC Cameras with PTZ), camera motion and zoom control are also extended.
IR (Infrared Remote) signals are also extended in both directions. IR detector and emitter cables are sold separately. The Receiver incorporates a Mode Switch. Normally (as shipped) the mode is set for Standard (STD). In this mode any video signal upto 4K resolution can be extended to 100meters. However, if the source is limited to 1080p, setting the mode to Long Reach (LR) allows Full-HD signals to be extended to 150meters.
